The most important feature of this site is Rhea's and Alexander's pictures. Rhea Eleni was born on    July 18, 1999 at 18:38 in Boston.  She was born 19" and 7lbs.  

Alexander Jeremy was born on October 9, 2001 at 02:02 in Beverly. He was born 21" and 8.2 lbs.

A few words  about the name. Rhea is from the ancient Greek mythology.  She is the  mother of the Gods (Zeus, Poseidon, etc).  The e, is pronounced as in 'bell'.  Eleni is my mother's name and again it is  ancient.  It is related to the god Apollo and has a meaning of 'shining'.   All the e are pronounced as in 'bell', where the i is pronounced as 'ee'.  

Alexander is a name that both Amanda and I like. Jeremy is  Amanda's brother's name.

Sometimes it is difficult to imagine what a difficult process it is to find a name.  We went over approximately 5,000 names.  Finally, though, we found the ones that sound great, and have a meaning and a value dear to us.

We did it!! On November 17, 2001, Amanda and Christos got married. It was the most beautiful ceremony. It took place in Swampscott Church of Spirituality. A very beautiful small church with a lot of character. The ceremony,  performed with great success by Rev. Eleanor Fisher, was extremely beautiful and meaningful . We simply could not have asked for better!! Rhea also decided to sit with us and actively participate as you will see in the pictures.  The reception took place after the ceremony in a restaurant situated right by the ocean. We had the room with a view you can say, since we were looking right on the water, and we had Boston on the horizon. It was especially beautiful in the evening when the sun was setting behind the skyscrapers and the whole sky had an orange colour that was reflecting on the sea.
